Join CPI at Future Food Tech in San Francisco on 21 – 22 March, the go-to event for the food-technology industry to collaborate on a healthier food system. Our facilities are FSSC22000 and FDA-certified, and we can prepare materials for additional testing (under HACCP) in our food-grade laboratories.


How we can help

Precision and biomass fermentation

Our host strain development services help develop alternative recombinant animal proteins and other functional ingredients. This includes high-throughput automated bioreactors for screening, design of experiments for media and process development, and bioreactors for fermentation process development. Beyond lab-scale, we offer pilot scale (1500L) and demonstration scale (10,000L) capability, allowing you to progress your innovation towards commercialisation. Our downstream processing team are specialists in separating, extracting, purifying and concentrating a range of products, including proteins, fats, oils and carbohydrates, developing industrially relevant, economically viable and scalable processes. 

Our specialist engineering team can support all your process design, engineering, modelling and safety requirements as well as provide techno-economic analyses and life cycle assessments. 

Gas fermentation

Our gas fermentation services cover initial screening to C1 gas fermentation demonstration, strain selection, characterisation and development, media screening as well as fermentation development. Our dedicated facility operates under aerobic and anaerobic conditions with (H2, CO2, CH4) and includes 1L and 10L C1 gas-fermenters.

Cellular Agriculture – Cell-cultivated food products 

We specialise in cell cultivation, including cell line development, media screening and optimisation, process development, optimisation and scale-up to pilot scale of 200 L STR. Additionally, we offer 3D printing, formulation and scaffold development, as well as downstream processing, including for fats and growth factors, and bioreactor design.
