Business overview
Verinnogen is a Cambridge-based life sciences company developing a novel handheld device designed to improve the accuracy, speed and reproducibility of tumour measurement in pre-clinical oncology research. Founded by experienced leaders in medical devices and oncology research, the Company is addressing a long-standing challenge within cancer drug development, where inconsistencies in tumour measurement can impact the reliability of research data and lead to costly repeat studies.
Verinnogen’s technology is designed to provide more precise and consistent measurements of tumour size and volume, particularly for complex tumour shapes that are difficult to assess using conventional methods. By improving the quality and reliability of pre-clinical data, the technology has the potential to accelerate drug development timelines, improve research efficiency, and support the development of new oncology treatments.
CPI value creation
CPI Enterprises’ investment, delivered through the Innovate UK Catapult Investment Pilot programme, is supporting the continued development and commercialisation of the technology. Alongside funding, CPI’s HealthTech team is collaborating with Verinnogen to advance the next generation of the handheld device, enhancing spatial resolution, usability and measurement performance to support early market adoption and scale-up.
