Business overview​
Q5D are developing and manufacturing robots to automate the addition of wiring and printed electronics to complex shaped parts with an initial focus in the automotive and aerospace industry. This automation will allow companies to tackle the challenges of cost and supply chain resilience whilst reducing the labour content of the manufacturing process.​

CPI value creation​
CPI are working with Q5D to develop model ink formulations to aid process development for their non-contact deposition method, coupling knowledge of material properties with process parameters to enable better ink selection. The team are also working to characterise commercially available inks and ensure that they fit with the required characteristics identified by the company for their prototypes and final product designs.​
