Project Graphted is a collaborative Innovate UK project led by PolyPhotonix and seeks to evaluate Graphene’s potential as a transparent electrode when dispersed in a polymeric matrix.

The twelve month feasibility study includes PolyPhotonix working in collaboration with Applied Graphene Materials and CPI.

The project began on 1st April 2015 and aims to provide proof of concept evidence that a Graphene-incorporating organic electronic device can be successfully developed and fully categorised in terms of morphology and physical properties.

The approach has the potential to generate a range of electronic inks that can be utilised at large scale. Application areas identified include organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic photovoltaics (OPV). Initial work will look towards use in phototherapy medical devices, with a long term view at larger area applications that utilise printed electronics technologies.
