CPI Deliver Practical Industrial Biotechnology Courses

Project Overview

UCL recognised the value that CPI could bring to the table as the delivery partner of this module, owing to the extensive knowledge and experience in the Industrial Biotechnology and Biorefining industry.

Four members of staff from within CPI’s Industrial Biotechnology team agreed to lead a series of lectures, held at the National Industrial Biotechnology Facility at CPI head office in Wilton, focusing on the practical challenges inherent in processing and scale- up. This real-world slant on the content of the module ensured that the correct message was delivered, with an audience of engineers, scientists, research managers and consultants in mind.

The Modular Training for the Bioprocess Industries Programme (MBI®) is a flagship course designed specifically for industrialists and can be taken as standalone modules or combined for Certificate, Diploma or Masters Qualifications. The unique module, ​“Industrial Biotechnology and Biorefining”, explores successful examples of biocatalyst design, process operation and biorefining for sustainable manufacturing.
