The event will bring together experts, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the paradigm shift in product development and optimisation facilitated by the Nanoman Project.

Meeting the world’s healthcare, lifestyle, and environmental needs will be impossible without new generations of high-performing and sustainable products. Many existing solutions rely on high-performing nanoparticles for achieving the desired performance, where dimensions, morphologies, and composition are critical in dictating function.

However, the production of nanoparticles requires precise control over their synthesis conditions, and complex, unintuitive reaction pathways, which can hinder development. This has impeded the development of these technologies and presents a barrier to cost-effective, sustainable scale-up.

The NanoMan project is an EPSRC-funded joint venture which is addressing these challenges by:

  • Pioneering machine learning directed self-optimising reactors that can efficiently map out the parameter space for particle synthesis processes.
  • Rapidly developing predictive models to accelerate innovation cycles, including identifying and optimising changes required on scale-up
  • Improving process control standard for consistent, scalable production.

The conference will showcase the developed technologies and identify important collaborative opportunities to work on new reactor technologies, nanoparticle technologies and machine learning in chemical sciences.

We will showcase the process of making Lipid nanoparticles through commercially available mixers. While also offering a live demonstration of how to make these nanoparticles, through conventional mixers such as T‑piece and herringbone.

The event will be of benefit to academics and those working in organic/polymer and inorganic nanoparticle technologies as well as those working in flow chemistry, machine learning, reaction monitoring and process optimisation.

Join the event to:

  • Understand opportunities for accelerating innovation in R&D.
  • Understand the scale-up potential of the technologies developed in this area.
  • Learn from top-tier academic researchers who are pioneering AI and ML-driven process innovations.
  • Connect with industry peers, potential customers, and policymakers, opening doors for collaborations and partnerships.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be at the forefront of nanotechnology innovation and collaboration.
