More than 30% of surveyed companies are planning to expand their R&D and manufacturing operations within the UK. The sector has also expressed strong support for the MHRA’s proposed framework for international recognition and reliance, with four times as many companies backing it over other government initiatives.

CPI and ABHI are calling for immediate action to break down these barriers, ensuring that UK HealthTech can flourish in a globally competitive market. Removing these obstacles is not only vital for the sector’s growth but will also benefit the NHS, patients, and the broader economy.
