Why this role is important for CPI’s work
CPI’s Printable Electronics department are providing an opportunity for a summer placement student to join its Photonics team. The opportunity will allow the student to gain valuable hands on experience and insight into working life to take on to future employment. In return, we have the benefit of your hard work and initiative, bringing fresh ideas into the organisation.
Our summer placement scheme has also been proven to help find CPI’s employees of the future. We currently have 10 employees who were previously employed as summer placement students.
The person we are seeking
We are ideally seeking to recruit a candidate who is educated to A‑Level or equivalent in Chemistry or Physics and has existing practical skills in Chemistry and 3D CAD. The successful candidate should have an interest in additive manufacturing (3D Printing).
Duties of the role include:
- Design and run experiments independently
- · Be self-motivated and have the confidence to drive own work
- · Operate 3D Printer equipment
- · Handle chemicals within a lab environment
- Present work by means of presentation and reports
