The Centre for Process Innovation is offering exciting opportunities to be part of our science apprenticeship programme. The role is designed to equip you with the skills you need to tackle a variety of scientific challenges alongside working with state of the art facilities, with the industry’s leading scientists, engineers, and commercialisation specialists.
You will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations to enable fellow scientists to focus on the design and technical delivery of projects. Duties of the role include:

We are offering the opportunity to fund the study of a number of trainee scientists. You will develop professional-level, job specific skills while studying towards your degree and earning a salary. We are looking for a number of self-motivated, reliable candidates who can organise workload to meet both departmental objectives and learning outcomes. The successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage time effectively. It is important that the successful candidates can take responsibility for personal development, demonstrating commitment to learning and self-improvement. The candidates will also have experience of IT packages, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working within a laboratory environment in a multi-disciplinary team is an advantage.
