The Role

Fixed Term for up to 18 Months.

CPI is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of our Facilities Management Team on our Apprenticeship Programme. The warehouse apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to develop as a future Warehouse Coordinator. The new role represents substantial company growth and an exciting phase of transformation as the team continues to expand and develop internal capability. You will support the facilities management team and warehouse operating areas in delivering safe, effective and efficient warehousing and inventory control in support of project delivery.

Duties include:

  • Providing support to the different CPI warehouses, learning the day-to-day requirements of the business and providing support through the warehouse coordinator to aid the different operational teams within CPI.
  • Assisting in the managing of compliance with the required safety, housekeeping and quality systems.
  • Dealing with the flow of raw materials and consumables throughout the facility including goods in, warehouse storage, distribution to the laboratories and goods out whilst maintaining visibility of stock levels and correct labelling.
  • Assisting in the review and upload of materials and consumables into appropriate warehouse systems.
  • To have an understanding of how to adequately package all items and parts for repair for safe delivery to the customer or vendors, assisting the warehouse co-ordinators in liaising with the various carriers used for delivery to customers.
  • Assisting the review and maintenance of the warehouse and associated equipment (e.g. FLT, cylinder storage, laydown area, office areas etc.).

What will this apprenticeship offer me?

We are offering the opportunity to study as a Warehouse Apprentice within our busy Facilities Team. You will develop professional-level, job specific skills while studying and earning a salary. As part of this apprenticeship programme you will study an accredited apprenticeship.

The Person

We are looking for a self-motivated, reliable apprentice who can organise workload to meet both departmental objectives and learning outcomes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage time effectively. It is important that the successful candidates can take responsibility for personal development, demonstrating commitment to learning and self-improvement. The candidate will also have experience of IT packages, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Eligibility To be eligible for our apprenticeship programme you:

  • Must hold or be willing to work towards achieving a minimum of level 2 qualifications (GCSE or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
