Why this role is important for CPI’s work

You will be responsible for supporting the financial delivery of private and grant funded projects, administrating the financial requirements of all grant offer letters and private contracts, analysing costs and timesheets to ensure they are eligible, correctly coded and within budget. You will support the finance function in processing CPI Group accounting journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining project cash flows and forecasting, and providing audit preparation and assistance according to agreed procedures and deadlines.

You will work in a collaborative manner with other departments across CPI, supporting delivery of grant and project management services in line with departmental targets and objectives. You will support the continuous improvement, development, management and project accounting systems and procedures. 

The person we are seeking

It is essential that you are educated to Level 3 or equivalent in a business related discipline. The successful candidate holding an AAT or equivalent Accountancy qualification or being educated to HND level or equivalent in a business related discipline, is desirable. 

You will have previous experience and knowledge of Grant Claim Production in ERDF or Horizon 2020 and have a proven track record of working with grant funding. The successful candidate will have knowledge of public sector performance requirements, EU procurement rules and experience of completing month end processes, and have experience in the use of Microsoft programmes including Outlook and Excel.
