We are ISO 13485 certified for the development of medical devices and in-vitro diagnostic devices and the provision of related services.
Reporting to the Manager — Design Engineering, you will be working in a multi-project environment where we help our clients to realise their product ideas from concept through to pilot manufacturing and all stages between. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of mechanical product design. You will carry mechanical design work using standard packages such as Solid Works, selecting materials, prototyping as well as building (in-house or through a supplier), testing and fault finding on prototype parts. You will work with Engineering colleagues to find robust, production-ready solutions, including mechanical safety design. You will also formulate and present possible design solutions and offer advice as required. You will provide clearly documented records of technical data, decisions, methodologies, calculations and software used in accordance with ISO/FDA quality standards. You will prepare and provide reports for clients as required. You will maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), quality and best practice requirements.
CPI has excellent in-house facilities for rapid prototyping, testing and validation of products for the medical device or Health-Tech markets. We specialise in new and innovative technology development. We can offer you the opportunity to join a strong multidisciplinary team of Scientists and Engineers — working on a wide variety of different and interesting projects. You will regularly speak to customers and prospective customers to discuss their needs and requirements and technical progress on projects.
