The Role

The Centre for Process Innovation has a short term opportunity (initially 3 months) available for an individual to provide support to the Procurement Team to ensure an effective service is maintained. The team are responsible for purchasing a wide range of goods, works and services across the organisation in an efficient and timely manner, in a way which maximises value for money and ensures compliance with public procurement regulations. Duties of the role include:

  • Data input/data analytics and housekeeping of the Procurement Departments electronic folders
  • To assist/support the team with any quotation/tender activities
  • To use CPI’s internal Purchase Requisition System to identify purchase requirements and ensuring required information is available to assist the team in the Purchase Order process
  • To ensure goods receiving of Purchase Orders when goods/services have been received

The Person

The successful candidate should be educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and possess a good working knowledge of IT systems (such as Microsoft Word, Excel). Candidates must be good team players and be ready to work on a range of diverse tasks, supporting different areas of the business. The ability to prioritise and organise work efficiently is also essential.

You will be working in a fast paced environment alongside supportive team members, therefore we expect the successful candidate to enjoy working with others and be able to collaborate effectively both with the team and more broadly across CPI.
