The Role

1 x Permanent, Full time AND 1 x Fixed Term, Full Time (24 months)

CPI is looking to recruit an Equipment Engineer to provide technical and hands-on support to maintain and improve the reliability of the equipment on the CPI sites. Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Using your technical experience to provide engineering services for internal and external customers that maximises the utilisation of our in-house people and resources and manages our use of contractors and vendors.

Duties include:

  • To maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), quality and best practice requirements.
  • Provide hands on support to maintain and improve the reliability of the equipment on CPI’s Sites
  • To review the maintenance schedules, implement improvements and changes in a way to improve uptime, reliability and process efficiency while controlling the cost of delivery.
  • To keep self up to date with developments in areas relevant to the role, and/or legislative and SHE related changes, ensuring understanding of these and any associated new best practice, methods or techniques.

The Person

Candidates must be educated to an HNC or Foundation Degree level in an engineering discipline plus relevant experience or have significant industrial experience within an electrical and mechanical engineer role. The job holder must possess technical expertise through theory and have a good underpinning knowledge, as well as evidence of technical problem solving. The successful candidate must have the ability to apply theoretical and practical electrical and mechanical engineering methods to contribute to business activities.
