The Role

CPI is looking to recruit a New Product Development Manager to provide high-level technical expertise and leadership to drive the development of new products and associated processes. You will provide technical expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders to help them shape their ideas, defining concepts and targets to develop their products towards commercialisation.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • To provide advice and guidance to lead and drive discussions with clients and external partners to set vision and concept, and agree targets for new product developments.
  • To make recommendations to clients on the design and scope of present and future products by reviewing specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or changes and defining product details for the Engineering team to build.
  • To develop and implement a New Product Introduction Process at a new facility making flexible and hybrid electronic circuits in order to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • To work with Project Management teams, providing technical direction to internal teams and partners developing delivery plans for new products and applications, ensuring sufficient identification of key steps, risks and contingencies.
  • To work with Technology colleagues to provide technical direction in turning agreed developments into delivery plans.

The Person

Candidates must hold an appropriate qualification (see job description for details) in a Scientific/Engineering discipline plus significant industrial experience at a senior level. The successful person must maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), quality and best practice requirements.
