Why this role is important for CPI’s work
The Marketing and Communications team delivers incredible, modern, multi-channel marcomms strategies that engage audiences through captivating stories, and develops cohesive and resilient brand identity, to position CPI as the go-to enabler of innovation that creates a healthier and more sustainable world.
The Content Officer role is a unique opportunity to work on science and culture content projects for both external and internal communications. Reporting to our Digital Content Editor and collaborating with 13 people across the Marketing and Communications team, you will play a significant role in telling stories about CPI’s people and science through digital channels.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Interviewing scientists, technicians, and innovation enablers at CPI
- Writing creative science and culture content for CPI’s social media channels, blog, website, newsletters, and intranet
- Contributing to the planning, development, posting, and monitoring of social media content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Contributing to the production of engaging science videos
The person we are seeking
We’re looking for a creative storyteller with the ability to convey complex scientific projects and life at CPI through engaging and accessible written copy, graphics, and video.
You will be up to date with social media trends on Instagram and TikTok and have science communication and social media experience from working in a similar role. Genuine interest in science, innovation and equality, diversity, and inclusion is a must.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in a media, marketing or scientific discipline, or equivalent education/experience. You need to write with perfect grammar, edit with attention to detail and have a creative eye for design.
