We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Systems/​IT Business Partner to join CPI. Joining a small growing team, who are committed to business performance improvement through effective use and deployment of technology

As the bridge between IT and the business, you will help ensure alignment with IT and Business Strategy. As a primary interface into IT, you will support all our Business Units with technology development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.

Reporting to the Head of IT Business Systems, the Business Systems/​IT Business Partner will be joining a growing team. The team are focused and committed to improving CPI’s use of technology as a critical tool of innovation. Working alongside our other Business Systems/​IT Business Partners, you will support all Business Units at CPI as required.

Your primary focus will be on our newly constructed state of the art (MMIC) Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre, located in Glasgow. You will also support other locations and Business System/​IT Partners as required. This role can be offered on a hybrid basis, working from both home and office locations to support business needs, or based at our Glasgow site.

The Role of Business Systems/​IT Business Partner:

Point of contact for business leaders and managers, who will promote the existing IT services and capabilities available with a view to aligning the business and IT Strategies. 

Ensure strong communication with CPI business units to understand the IT needs and requirements of the department and the organisation as a whole, this can be in the form of holding workshops, meetings, direct observation or other data gathering techniques. 

Collaborate with the IT Systems Developers, IT Architecture and Security Team and all other relevant internal/​external support functions to ensure solution compatibility, feasibility, and compliance with company standards.

Provide process and business solutions to support IT System business needs or resolve issues that CPI members may face. 

Understand the scope of project work, and resources, to ensure that the systems can be delivered to agreed timings. Produce the relevant project management documentation and support the relevant milestones during project delivery. 

Create and manage project timing plans, to ensure that projects stay on track to agreed timings, and any deviations are captured and understood. Managing risk and issues to ensure projects are delivered on time, reporting concerns or impact to stakeholders to be resolved or mitigation agreed.

The person we are seeking

The successful candidate for the Business Systems/​IT Business Partner role will have:

Previous experience in a similar role and level, experience with GMP in the pharma industry would be advantageous. 

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in an IT or Business-related subject or possess subsequent relevant experience.

Experienced in the governance, management and integrity of data 

Will be able to demonstrate they are highly organised with the ability to think and plan strategically

Broad awareness of a range of technologies and how they can be leveraged in supporting business requirements and objectives. Experience in managing multiple IT projects successfully of varying complexity, including system design and implementation.

Confident communicator with proven stakeholder management experience.

It would be a distinct advantage to have:

Experience in delivering high-quality strategic business and technology solutions within a highly regulatory landscape within the life sciences sector.
