Why this role is important for CPI’s work
You will be responsible for overseeing the safe engineering and construction of the Novel Food Innovation Centre (NFIC), a new food grade pilot production plant to be installed at the Technical Development Area at Wilton. You will undertake the role of Site Supervisor for the construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing and handover phases of the project to instigate the NFIC. The job-holder will ensure all construction activities are delivered safely and with due regard to the environmental impact. You will also ensure the construction programme is delivered in accordance with the overall project plan.
The person we are seeking
We are looking for an individual who will undertake regular EHS toolbox talks with the construction team to maintain a safe working ethos and participate in EHS investigations, audits, safety tours and inspections in order to encourage safe working, good housekeeping and responsible environmental performance. It is essential you have relevant industrial project management experience at a senior level, including delivery of at least one multi-million-pound construction project, ideally in a regulated environment (such as oil&gas, pharma, food etc). You must also have experience of delivering complex engineering projects including elements of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering in a highly regulated environment. You should at least possess significant, technical expertise in equipment engineering as well as a compelling evidence of complex technical problem solving. The successful candidate will be Educated to HNC or Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) in a Engineering discipline plus significant industrial experience at a senior level or Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a Engineering discipline plus relevant industrial experience at a senior level.
