Why this role is important for CPI’s work
You will be responsible for providing high-level technical expertise in Process Analytics to deliver large scale / complex projects and develop business-unit level knowledge and practice. You will draw upon a broad range of technical know-how to provide technical expertise and advice to a range of stakeholders, to inform technical strategy and direction in Process Analytics and related areas. The job-holder’s key responsibilities will be to identify new technical developments and trends, utilise own expert knowledge to inform the technology strategy at business unit level and actively contribute to a culture of continuous capability development within teams, in alignment with company strategy and project deliverables. For an appointment at Principal level we are additionally looking for the capability to provide technical project leadership and strategic leadership in Process Analytics and act as a credible technical expert for the organisation.
Key duties include:
- To undertake and lead projects focusing on development and application of Process Analytics in areas relevant to CPI. For appointments at Principal level this will include, when appropriate, co-ordinating the activities of a technical team to deliver projects.
- To analyse, interpret and report results within agreed timescales and quality standards, and in accordance with project / client requirements.
- Work across technical teams and specialisms to support use and application of Process Analytics
- Develop and utilise own expertise to build Process Analytics capability and knowledge within Formulation BU and across CPI.
For appointments at Principal level it is expected that the post holder will engage with and understand requirements of internal and external customers and champion the application and value of Process Analytics.
The person we are seeking
We are looking for an individual who will undertake and lead projects focusing on development and application of Process Analytics in areas relevant to CPI and work across technical teams and specialisms to encourage the use and application of Process Analytics. It is essential you are educated to degree level and possess significant, technical expertise in Process Analytics. You must also have experience of responsibility for diverse or complex technical activities where it is necessary to use own initiative and judgement. You should at least be able to show evidence of building cross-industry and organisational knowledge sharing and network building. For appointment at Principal level, candidates should be a recognised industry expert in Process Analytics, as well as having broader technical knowledge and capability.
It is expected that this role will involve elements of laboratory work or close interaction with laboratory scientists and engineers, so it is not suitable for remote working.
