Why this role is important for CPI’s work

Key tasks in the role will include (but are not limited to the below), please download the job description for full details available on the CPI careers page:

  • Owning and driving the Medicines Manufacturing Digital Strategy, defining and resourcing its implementation plan.
  • Leading the integration of technologies, applications, and processes into CPI Digital Assets.
  • Providing technical support to Business Development teams, including proposal and project development.
  • Ensuring compliance with CPI’s Digital and Data Integrity policies, GMP standards, and quality systems.
  • Managing collaborative teams to deliver project goals across R&D, commercial, and internal projects.
  • Developing new revenue streams through innovative use of digital technologies.
  • Representing CPI at conferences and events, building networks with external stakeholders and partners.

The person we are seeking

We are seeking someone who can combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate must be Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant Science, Engineering, or Data Science discipline with significant experience and;

  • Have expertise in process and data analysis within a scientific or manufacturing setting.
  • Have experience in operational and scientific data measurement, collection, and information management.
  • Possess knowledge of control and automation concepts and their application to industry.
  • Have a strong track record of complex technical problem solving and delivery of research projects.
  • Have excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

It would also be advantageous if the successful candidate was qualified to PhD level (or equivalent) in a relevant Science, Engineering, or Data Science discipline and;

  • Experience deploying GMP software solutions in pharmaceutical/​biopharma manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma or 5S knowledge.
  • Programming/​scripting skills (Python, C, Javascript).
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Labview or Matlab.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments (ISO9001, GMP).
