People Development Director
Jodie is responsible for overseeing a high performance learning culture across CPI, with a real focus on creating an environment that allows people to excel. She also leads the delivery of CPI’s Human Resources Plan in line with the organisation’s business strategy, covering standards and frameworks across all disciplines, including organisation design and resource planning, learning and development and employee relations. Jodie is also responsible for talent management and succession, performance management, recruitment and CPI’s reward and recognition policy.
Jodie has over 15 years’ experience in the infrastructure industry having originally studied for Batchelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering worked as a project manager for global firm Balfour Beatty focusing on performance improvement alongside change management.
Throughout that time she grew a personal desire for people development and was motivated by the role played by leaders in creating opportunities and space for individuals to flourish. This resulted in Jodie studying part-time for a Masters degree in Human Resources and progressing to a senior HR position at Balfour Beatty. Jodie now has a wealth of experience in translating corporate strategy into a tangible people plan that addresses the goals of the organisation and the needs of employees within it.
She is motivated by talent management, leadership development and seeing people reach their potential through passionate employee engagement and the power of the employee voice.
