Alfredo Ramos Plasencia MSc (Dipl.-Ing.), MBA

Managing Director of Enterprises

Alfredo strengthens CPI’s team in the healthcare and smart manufacturing space.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the process sector, he was worked in diverse research and development, engineering and operational roles across a wide range of sectors including bio-chemicals, pharma and energy.

He brings key experience in digital design and smart manufacturing through his previous role, where he developed and commercialised CAD and CAE applications supporting process design, engineering and operation of process plants.

He also previously served as a production manager at a Spanish water utility, gaining substantial field experience in operations, managing O&M and energy contracts and directing the implementation of an integrated online data management and reporting system to monitor the status of the water supply network. Further research activities in Germany revolved around the design of advanced model-based control strategies for large molecule manufacturing processes. He has a proven record in managing technology products from conceptual design and development in early stages of research and development to marketing strategy, product launch and commercialisation.

Such work included serving as technology and commercialisation manager for a multi-million research and development project aimed at designing, implementing and commercialising an engineering software package for analysis of carbon capture and storage systems for power generation. The project was successfully completed with the launch of gCCS in July 2014.

He holds a graduate chemical engineering degree from RWTH Aachen University and an MBA, with distinction, from London Business School.
