As a CIWM Waste Awareness registered centre, Renew at CPI are running an accredited one day Waste Awareness course on Wednesday 16th September, aimed at providing employees with the knowledge and information sources to help companies minimize waste and stay within the law.
What's covered?
Learn about different types of waste Know your legal responsibilities for waste How to conduct a waste audit to identify cost savings How to reduce, reuse and recycle waste Learn about disposal routes for remaining wastes Deal with waste safely Identify sources of help
What's involved?
A one day course (5-6 hours) A short multiple choice open book test
What you get
CIWM Waste Awareness Certificate (valid for 5 years on passing of test) Course reference booklet to keep Sources of help for implementing change
Who should attend?
Shop floor workers, managers - particularly facilities managers or those responsible for waste, office staff, cleaners, contractors etc However, anybody who throws stuff away or deals with waste will benefit and it is applicable to almost every type of organisation
Course level No prior knowledge is required as this is a foundation level certificate, similar to a NVQ Level 1 course. However, from our customer feedback, we find that everyone attends a Waste Awareness Certificate course takes something useful away, be they a manager or any other employee.
How much does it cost?
£50.00 (excl. VAT) per person for regional SMEs £175.00 (excl. VAT) per person for everyone else
