The RENEW project has ended
Renew Tees Valley (2003-2008) and the successor project Renew (2008-2011) - the latter hosted as a CPI project - have now come to an end as Economic Support Projects for SMEs and companies working in the Low Carbon Energy and Environmental Goods and Services Sectors. The projects were funded through a combination of RDA funding and the European Regional Development Fund 2007-13.
The following pages are remaining in place as examples of what the project achieved and they highlight many relevant case studies and research that the team developed.
Going forward, CPI hosts another Economic Support Project, the Innovation Accelerator. This is aimed at technology based SMEs with the potential for high growth. As well as laboratory incubation space in the Innovation Accelerator Incubator unit, the team offer specialist support in innovation, entrepreneurship, market research, business planning and intellectual property rights.
In addition a new private organisation, RenewPlus, headed by Chris Hayward from the Renew team – has set up to carry on much of the work started by Renew. Specialising in environmental consultancy, events, business to business services and many other functions within the Environmental Goods and Services Sector – they can be contacted via the RenewPlus website →
