Renew aims to deliver value creating near-to-market industrial/commercial projects using sustainable energy and environmental-technology that make a significant contribution to the North East economy and increase the national and international reputation of the region for low carbon technologies.
One of the keys to this is to make it easy for companies that are interested in renewable energy or recycling to develop their businesses here. Another is to ensure that across the North East we have an integrated approach to sustainable development and waste management.
Renew’s approach is characterised by action. We provide the vital link in the chain that takes renewable energy and recycling technologies from development to the marketplace. We talk to companies who are interested in renewable energy and recycling. We work with companies in the North East who have got new and varied ideas in the fields of renewable energy and recycling. The idea is to help them expand and diversify their businesses into these new areas in which annualised growth rates of around 10% are predicted.
Renew is assembling a high-powered team characterised by commercial realism and a wide range of industrial contacts, who are skilled and experienced in developing creative and pragmatic solutions. We work with a range of partners, including the region's key Centres of Excellence, One North East and the universities, to help investors make their projects happen in this region and to develop linkages with local companies.
